Private SHSAT tutoring, 3 levels.
Private SHSAT tutoring built for Specialized High School admission.
The SHSAT ranks NYC students for a limited number of seats. The current test is digital, and it adapts question by question. We measure progress by accuracy, pacing, and consistency, not an estimated composite we cannot verify.
How Tutoring Works
Three steps from request to results.
1
Tell Us About Your Child
Fill out the form. An advisor follows up within one business day to talk through your child's timeline, target schools, and which tutor level fits.
2
Get Matched
We match your child with a SHSAT instructor trained on the mechanics of the new computer-adaptive format. Sessions are scheduled around your calendar.
3
Start Preparing
Sessions start with a diagnostic across ELA and Math, then build from there. Every session targets pacing and accuracy under the new locked-forward format, no skipping, no going back.
Why private tutoring
The most targeted prep we offer.
Built for a Test That Just Changed
This November is the first administration of the new computer-adaptive SHSAT: no skipping, no exploring, no going back. Sessions are built around exactly how the new format works, not the strategies families remember from the old paper test.
The Right Tutor for a Ranking Test
Three tutor levels, priced by experience. Because the SHSAT ranks students against each other for a fixed number of seats, sharpening accuracy and pacing under the new locked-forward format matters as much as content review. Not sure which fits? Talk to an advisor.
Flexible Scheduling
Sessions are built around your family's calendar and needs, in whatever setting works best for your child. With one administration each year, starting when your child is ready matters more than waiting for the next class to begin.
