Experience
Sally began tutoring in 2006 through the America Reads program, a national campaign to help children learn to read well and independently by the end of elementary school. As an America Reads tutor in the NYU chapter, Sally worked with a group of kindergartners at PS 15, an elementary school on the Lower East Side. In 2008, Sally joined the Bell Curves team as an SAT proctor, and then moved into a teaching role as a Saturday Academy instructor, preparing third through fifth graders in East New York for their end of year exams. Currently, Sally is working as a Grant Writer and Coordinator at a non-profit social service agency in the Lower East Side that works to expand opportunities to low-income families.
