Experience
Prior to joining Bell Curves in the Spring of 2011 Lior was a student-teacher at UC Santa Cruz, where he taught an undergraduate seminar on social movements in the Middle East. His approach to teaching is grounded in traditions of Democratic Education, wherein teaching and learning go hand in hand. In the context of SAT prep, this means rigorously preparing students for the test, yet acknowledging that our students come from diverse backgrounds and have valuable experience to share as well. When he is not teaching (or thinking about teaching) Lior spends his time writing and performing original folk songs, and volunteering at his favorite bookstore in the Lower East Side.
