The College Board has redesigned student reports for the PSAT. The new reports have several advantages:
- Much prettier color scheme (though that might be a personal bias)
- More clearly expressed skills assessment (breakdowns by category)
- Clearer visual distinction between each subject’s percentile ranking (shaded people) versus actual subject scaled scores (circled numbers)
- More links and directions to online resources
These changes will hopefully make life easier for college counselors as they explain PSAT results to parents and students. Another great feature offered by the College Board is the ability to go online and review the actual questions from the PSAT, which I encourage students, and parents (and even some English teachers and math teachers) to do.
Good luck and good learning!
